Aespa Spills On The Celebrity That Left Them Starstruck

The celebrity left a strong impression on Giselle in high school.

With their recent comeback, aespa was able to interact with their fans in person more than they had before, having debuted amid heavy travel restrictions related to COVID-19.

The group recently held their first in-person showcases in the United States and Japan and their first fanmeeting in Korea. While in the U.S., they made their U.S. television show debut on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and performed at Good Morning America‘s “Summer Concert Series.”

While in America, they also interviewed with multiple radio stations, including iHeartRadio, where the members answered questions about their metaverse, their most recent single, “Girls,” and the timeline for their first full-length album.

Member Giselle again confirmed that the “Black Mamba” metaverse storyline was no more after the members worked to defeat their villain in their music video for “The Girls.”

Although that villain had been defeated, Giselle excitedly announced that fans could expect new metaverse storylines. When asked by iHeartRadio host, JoJo when the group will release their new album, the members hesitantly revealed it was “top secret” before Giselle shared, “[The album] will be coming someday soon…

When speaking about their experience in America, JoJo asked the girls if they’re ever met a celebrity that left them starstruck, and for the members, one person came to mind.

While filming for Jimmy Kimmel Live!, they ran into American media personality and socialite Paris Hilton backstage.

For Giselle, the meeting was even more iconic because her nickname in high school was “That’s Hot,” influenced by Paris Hilton’s legendary line.

Giselle shared that they got to talk to her for “a quick second,” and Karina and Winter shared that Paris was “tall” and “awesome” and that they were equally starstruck.
