Im Nayoung Might Be Making Her Return As A K-Pop Idol Through A New Survival Show

Fans couldn’t be more excited for the return of the talented idol.

Kakao Entertainment is producing a new survival show, RE:VERSE, which is slated to be released in late November. The show will feature 30 girl group idols competing through virtual avatars. The premise is supposed to encourage the audience to focus on the skills and personalities of the contestants rather than their visual charms.

In preparation for the show’s start, the official Twitter and YouTube accounts have already introduced the 30 talented contestants, and fans believe they have already identified the idols.

The incredible lineup, according to fans, includes a variety of extremely talented idols from groups like Apink, BVNDIT, Cherry Bullet, LABOUMLOONA, NATURE, PURPLEKISS, Rocket Punch, TRI.BE, Weeekly, Weki Meki, WJSN (also known as Cosmic Girls), and a variety of talented soloists.

Fans were perhaps most shocked by the video of one contestant, NIKENA, whom they believe to be Im Nayoung making her return to K-Pop.

Im Nayoung first stole hearts in Mnet‘s survival show Produce 101, making the show’s final lineup and debuting as the leader and main rapper of I.O.I. Fans loved her immense talent and charismatic aura.

After I.O.I’s disbandment, Im Nayoung re-debuted with PLEDIS Entertainment‘s girl group PRISTIN, which took the world by storm with their catchy songs and extremely talented members.

Although fans assumed that the talented group would have a long and successful career, due to some extreme and unfair mismanagement, the group eventually disbanded.

Im Nayoung left PLEDIS Entertainment and later signed an exclusive contract with Sublime Artist Agency. Since then, she’s shown her incredible acting skill, captivating viewers with her performances in K-Dramas like Flower of Evil and Summer Guys. Fortunately, Im Nayoung also participated in various OSTs that allowed fans to hear her incredible vocal skill.

Still, no one was expecting Im Nayoung’s return to K-Pop, and they definitely did not anticipate that she would do so via a virtual avatar.
