TXT’s Soobin And Taehyun Spill On How The Huening Siblings Pulled Off Their April Fools’ Day Prank

TXT recently concluded the third show of their Act: Sweet Mirage world tour, and although they had just performed in Singapore, leader Soobin went live on Weverse to continue to entertain MOAs.

From his hotel room, Soobin shared candid moments with fans as he relaxed and unwinded after an impressive high-energy set.

Although Soobin initially said he was going to keep the live broadcast short due to needing to shower and sleep, he ended up staying online for over an hour, which is not unusual for the kindhearted leader.

Soobin began the live broadcast by himself, as the members were staying in separate rooms, but he was soon joined by Hueningkai, Taehyun, and Beomgyu, who individually visited Soobin as the live broadcast became increasingly and hilariously chaotic.

When Taehyun was in the room with Soobin, they decided to expose how the iconic April Fools’ Day hijinks between Hueningkai and Kep1er‘s Huening Bahiyyih began.

On April Fools’ Day, the Huening siblings took fans by surprise when they switched profiles on their respective fan-to-artist communication sites, leaving messages and answering fans’ questions as if they were each other.

During Soobin’s recent live broadcast, he asked MOAs if they had seen the prank, and Taehyun shared that he was there when Hueningkai made the phone call to set it all up with his younger sister.

  • Soobin: “Did you see Huening’s April Fool’s Day? I did… he became Hiyyih right?”
  • Taehyun: “I was actually there when he made the phone call.”
  • Soobin: “Oh, while he was discussing it with Hiyyih?”

Insider Taehyun, who had witnessed the start of the prank, revealed that it was mischievous maknae Hueningkai’s idea.

  • Soobin: “So Kai suggested it first?”
  • Taehyun: “Yeah”

Huening Bahiyyih shared her side of the story, confirming what Taehyun revealed. Hilariously, she shared she was surprised when she saw Hueningkai was calling but joined in on his plan when he asked her to send pictures so he could change his Weverse profile.

The two shared how they usually message fans to make the prank seem more legitimate and had fun pretending to be each other for a little bit.
