Netizens Shocked By NSFW Subtitles On BOYNEXTDOOR Riwoo’s TikTok

It was automatic!

BOYNEXTDOOR‘s Riwoo recently uploaded a TikTok, and it’s garnered attention due to its NSFW subtitles.

Riwoo recently uploaded a video, participating in a popular TikTok trend that uses Hatsune Miku‘s “PoPiPo” (also known as “Vegetable Juice”) as the audio. His video went viral with 235.5K views at the time of writing.

While the song is innocent, the subtitles were not so much. TikTok’s automatic captions for the sound read, “Poppy p*ssy.”

Netizens were shocked when they read the subtitles. The comment section was filled with people pointing out the NSFW “translation.”

The audio has taken over the internet. Persons originally would record their pets, moving the phone in motion with the sound. Yet, due to TikTok’s automatic captioning, it has resulted in some problematic subtitles. Even in the original viral video by @lilkungpaochicken, which has 59.8M views, the subtitles read “people f*ck” repeatedly. Other videos had totally different subtitles, such as “Goofy,” “People,” “Popi,” etc.

Still, this trend became so popular that the biggest K-Pop idols have joined, including WayV, Stray Kids’ Felix and Han, TWICE’s Nayeon, ENHYPEN’s Jungwon, IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, DKB’s Yuku, LE SSERAFIM’s Hong Eunchae, aespa’s Winter, and (G)I-DLE’s Shuhua.

Eunchae’s, Shuhua’s, and Winter’s were some of the few other than Riwoo’s that had the automatic subtitles, as not every video contains the subtitles (there’s an option to turn it off). So, Eunchae’s read, “Popi popo,” Winter’s subtitles read, “poop,” while Shuhua’s contained both “poop” and “p*ssy.”
