Adorable “Sunshine” Idol-Actor Has Viewers Thirsting In His First Villain Role
Recently, the new K-Drama series Friendly Rivalry has been a hot topic.
The series was adapted from a 19+ webcomic, contains sapphic elements, and is referred to as a GL (girl love) series. It stars Girl’s Day’s Hyeri, Chung Su Bin, and former IZ*ONE member Kang Hyewon.
Many have been surprised to see Hyeri in this type of role and were shocked by her first on-screen kiss with a woman.

Another actor has gained attention for his appearance in the series in an unexpected role.
In 2014, GOT7 made their debut under JYP Entertainment and have continued as a group since their departure from the company.
The members, including Youngjae, have also focused on their solo careers. Youngjae has released several albums and worked as a DJ on the popular radio show, Best Friend.
Youngjae has acted in that time, appearing in musical theater productions as well as in the K-Drama So Not Worth It. The idol played Sam in the lighthearted series, going viral for a kiss scene with (G)I-DLE‘s Minnie.
Youngjae is also a very smiley person, with most accustomed to seeing him as cute and adorable.
However, his role in Friendly Rivalry is something very different! Youngjae plays Nam Byeongjin, a bad boy drug dealer involved with Chung Su Bin’s character, Seulgi.
In a scene from one of the latest episodes, Byeonjin corners Seulgi with a knife and Youngjae gives a surprisingly scary performance.
