On February 26, KST, SEVENTEEN member Hoshi attended a DIESEL fashion show in Milan as a global ambassador. The fansite, which goes by the username “@Starline_SS,” was also at the venue.

While fansites being present at such events is not out of the ordinary, @Starline_SS managed to get close to the members in an unprecedented manner. Judging by the video they posted on X, it appears that they pretended to be a media outlet to get access to the idols.

The video featured SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, who looked somewhat puzzled while looking into the camera while smiling. He said hi to the camera, taking the name of “Starline” and introducing himself, much like celebrities usually do for media outlets at such events.

The video has since gone viral on X, garnering over 648,000 views in just a few hours. Though some fans found it amusing how the fansite managed to successfully pull the trick,

Wow, f*ck. It’s freaking funny how they handed him a mic while pretending to be a magazine publisher.

many were upset that they “scammed” Hoshi in that manner.

You pretended to be from a magazine, told him your name, and gave him a mic??????????? This is f*cking ridiculous.

It seems that you were impressed by the incident with Majingxiang at Incheon Airport last time between the crazy fan and the bodyguard.

F*cker.

Did you pretend to be a magazine company, giving your name and handing over the microphone??????????? This is insane.
Seriously, how far are you going with this scam?

You’re truly something else.

As the criticism grew stronger, the fansite responded under the original post. They clarified that they never posed as press to gain entry and took the video of Hoshi with his consent after fully informing him about their account.

I entered the show through regular channels. I never pretended to be a magazine. I separately informed Hoshi that this is my account, and the greeting video was filmed with Hoshi’s consent. Please stop the inappropriate comments and speculations.
