A flight from Jeju to Gimpo was delayed this morning after a woman opened the plane’s emergency exit just before takeoff.
It occurred at 8:15 AM while Air Seoul flight RS902 was taxiing on the runway, causing the emergency slide to deploy and stopping the plane from moving. All 202 passengers were deboarded and waited at Jeju Airport while safety checks were conducted.
The woman was arrested and told police her reasoning for opening the door is because she is claustrophobic and felt trapped. Fortunately, nobody was harmed.
