Korean Man Arrested After Randomly Assaulting Woman He Sees For The First Time

On the morning of April 26, near Suwon Station in South Korea, a man in his 30s was apprehended by police after assaulting an unfamiliar woman in a random and unprovoked attack. The incident, which occurred during rush hour, sent shockwaves through the public, as nearby citizens witnessed the violence unfold.

The man, initially seen walking along the street, suddenly charged at a woman standing by the roadside and began punching her without warning.

Even after the woman collapsed, the attack continued.

A passerby, alarmed by the scene, stopped his car and approached the assailant, only to be met with punches himself. The attacker then shoved the man to the ground.

As others attempted to intervene, the situation escalated further. One bystander who tried to stop the violence was also targeted. When he attempted to flee, the attacker chased after him but eventually fell over. The woman who had endured the initial assault was seen leaning weakly against a wall before collapsing once again, clearly unable to recover from the physical toll.

The incident happened around 7 am, in a high-traffic area near Suwon Station, a location bustling with commuters. Multiple individuals reportedly suffered injuries as a result of the sudden outburst. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had also caused disturbances on the bus ride from Seoul to Suwon prior to the attack. A representative from the bus company stated that, although there had been no direct conflict with the driver, the man had acted out aggressively, damaging fixtures such as handles and cup holders during the ride.

After disembarking at Suwon Station, the man proceeded to assault strangers without any known motive. He was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time. The police have charged him with assault and are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause behind his violent actions.
