Actress Hyeri of Girl’s Day fame has been revealed to own two buildings located in the prime districts of Samseong-dong and Yeoksam-dong in Gangnam, Seoul. According to a report by News1 on June 1, 2025, the total purchase price of the properties amounts to approximately ₩12.1 billion KRW (about $8.75 million USD), with capital gains estimated to exceed ₩6.00 billion KRW (about $4.34 million USD).

In August 2022, Hyeri purchased an old multi-apartment house in Samseong-dong under a family-owned corporation for ₩7.75 billion KRW (about $5.60 million USD). The property is situated in a highly desirable “triple station intersection” area, within walking distance of not one, but three subway stations. Her property is near lines 9, 7, and the rapid Suin-Bundang line.

After acquiring the property, Hyeri demolished the existing structure and constructed a new building with two underground floors and six floors above ground. Including additional transaction-related costs of ₩450 million KRW (about $325,000 USD) and construction expenses of ₩2.50 billion KRW (about $1.81 million USD), the total investment is estimated to be around ₩10.7 billion KRW (about $7.74 million USD).

A director at Building Road Real Estate Brokerage Corporation, told News1 that she is currently looking for a full-lease tenant for the new building.

“They are currently looking for a full-lease tenant for the newly built structure, with an expected deposit of ₩400 million KRW (about $289,000 USD) and monthly rent of around ₩30.0 million KRW (about $21,700 USD). If sold, the building could yield more than ₩3.00 billion KRW (about $2.17 million USD) in capital gains within just three years.”

Kim further noted that Hyeri entered into a trust agreement with a trustee company during the ownership transfer. This is a common strategy used to reduce the amount of initial capital investment by increasing loan limits.

Hyeri’s real estate portfolio also includes a building in Yeoksam-dong. In December 2020, she purchased an old residential building under the name of a corporation she personally established, for ₩4.39 billion KRW (about $3.17 million USD). This building was also demolished and rebuilt. The current market value is estimated to exceed ₩10.0 billion KRW (about $7.23 million USD), and if sold, it could bring in an additional ₩3.00 billion KRW (about $2.17 million USD) or more in capital gains.

With these strategic real estate investments, Hyeri is gaining attention not only for her entertainment career but also for her savvy in property development and asset management.
