ALLDAY PROJECT’s Annie Reveals The Allowance She Received As A Chaebol
As ALLDAY PROJECT member Annie continues to gain attention for her glamorous background, she recently gave a candid response when asked about her allowance.
On July 13, 2025, Annie appeared alongside fellow members Tarzan and Bailey in a new video on YouTube channel Psick University, where the rookie idols showcased their wit and humor throughout the episode. During the interview, host Lee Yong Joo jokingly asked Annie a blunt question about her allowance. As many know, she is the daughter of the current chairwoman of Shinsegye, a conglomerate in itself, but also associated with chaebol monster Samsung. Lee asked her what was the most New Year’s saebaetdon she ever received. Saebaetdon is also known as “lucky money” or allowance one receives during the Lunar New Year. This is often given to you by parents, grandparents, and relatives. Given Annie’s affluent family background, the host was curious about how much money chaebols dole out.

Annie hesitated before answering it in a roundabout way.
“I’ve never actually spent Seollal in Korea. I was in New York, so I never spent that holiday with my family.”
Not letting it go, another host Jung Jae Hyung followed up with a more specific question about her regular allowance from her parents. He jokingly asked if she received living fees in Korean won, USD, or in department store gift cards. Annie admitted that she received “just living expenses in dollars,” drawing laughter from the hosts and viewers.
ALLDAY PROJECT made their official debut on June 23 with the single “FAMOUS”, which quickly topped Melon’s TOP 100 chart. Their second title track “WICKED” also drew huge attention, with the performance video shooting to the top of YouTube’s trending list. While Annie (real name Moon Seo Yoon) drew massive pre-debut buzz as the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group Chairwoman Lee Myung Hee and daughter of Shinsegae President Jung Yoo Kyung, she is now earning praise not just for her elite background — but for her solid vocal and performance skills, proving she’s more than just a “chaebol idol.”
