PENTAGON’s Hui Makes Decision About Contract Status Amidst Facial Injury
PENTAGON’s Hui has officially ended his exclusive contract with CUBE Entertainment, marking a new chapter in his career as he recovers from a recent facial injury.
On July 16, CUBE Entertainment announced the decision.
“After thorough discussions, we have recently concluded our exclusive contract with Hui. Since debuting in 2016 as the leader and main vocalist of PENTAGON, Hui has consistently showcased his exceptional musical talent and passion. He has also continued to challenge himself as a producer and solo artist, creating a unique musical identity.”
Hui recently suffered a nasal bone fracture while filming JTBC’s variety program Let’s Play Soccer 4, leading him to temporarily halt activities. CUBE stated that they would be supporting his recovery despite the end of the contract.
“Though our contract with Hui has ended, we will continue to support him in every way possible as he recovers from his injury. We are committed to helping him fully recover and return to good health. We thank Hui for his dedication and hard work, and ask for your warm support for the new journey he’s about to embark on. We will also sincerely cheer him on in his future endeavors.”
Hui is the second-last member to leave the company. Shinwon remains in the company due to his current military enlistment.
