Rowoon Won’t Be Able To Enlist In The Military As Per His Original Plans
Idol-turned-actor Rowoon has reportedly postponed his military enlistment.

On July 17, KST, his agency, FNC Entertainment, informed fans that two weeks prior to his enlistment date, Rowoon underwent his physical examination by the Military Manpower Administration and received a grade 7 evaluation, which indicates severe health conditions and requires a full reexamination to determine his eligibility for active duty.
The agency explained that Rowoon immediately submitted an objection to the evaluation, and he has been scheduled for retesting in early August. They emphasized on the actor’s willingness to fulfill his military obligations and enlist as soon as possible.
Previously, Rowoon was set to enlist as an active duty soldier in the army on July 21, KST. If the re-examination in August again evaluates him unfit for active duty, the situation might get complicated. While grade 7 evaluation implies one is exempt from military service, if the reexamination determines Rowoon suitable for public service, his existing plans of resuming activities after discharge will be disrupted, as the service period is much longer than that of an active duty soldier.
Meanwhile, before enlistment, Rowoon wrapped up filming for the upcoming Disney+ K-Drama, The Murky Stream. He is expected to greet global viewers in the role of Jang Si Yul, a gangster in a lawless land of Joseon, sometime later this year.
