KOYOTE’s Shinji Sits Down With Members, Says She Isn’t Getting Married In A While
After her wedding announcement with fellow singer MoonOne went south, KOYOTE‘s Shinji addressed her fans’ concerns on her YouTube channel.
In the latest video, Shinji admitted to having read through all the comments her fans left. Seeing all the concerns, the singer said it made her reflect deeply—to which her groupmate Bbaekga noted, “Every single one came from a place of concern and care for you.”

Shinji: Because there’s been so much concerned comments, I couldn’t help but read through it all—just to see what people were saying. But you two said you got scared and stopped reading, right? I read through all of it, and honestly, it really weighed on me. I felt bad—like I might’ve caused harm to you two, too. There was a lot for me to think about, in many different ways. Really.
And even with the new album coming, we had a release date locked in after all our prep, but I felt like there was so much focus on me personally. Still, I thought—wow, all these fans have been quietly out there, and now they’re coming out to show concern and support for me. That really hit me. So I’m just trying my best to take it in positively, and to be as humble and careful as I can moving forward. I’m really making an effort to think things through seriously.
Bbaekga: You know how I said I had to stop reading the comments because they scared me? But what I did see, and there were so many… Just know that every single one came from a place of concern and care for you.
Shinji: Yes, I know that most people are speaking out of care for me. Honestly, I can tell. I know whether someone is truly speaking out of concern for me or just attacking me indiscriminately. But I also know very well that the majority were genuinely worried.
Shinji then clarified that she isn’t getting married to MoonOne right away. Calling the wedding “a long way off,” the singer asked her fans to keep watching over things with patience.

A lot of people seem to think I’m getting married right now, like this year, but that’s not true. It’s still a long way off, so I’d appreciate it if you could just watch over things patiently.

For Shinji, the tremendous amount of attention that she had gotten became overwhelming. She said she had to take medication to control her panic attacks before going on to the stage to perform and facing the crowd.
Bbaekga offered his support, saying, “I’m sure it is all a learning experience.” Kim Jongmin agreed and added, “You should really take this as time to think about where you’re headed and how you want to move forward.”
Previously, Shinji and MoonOne mentioned a wedding in the first half of next year—though, amid all that has unfolded, the exact date is still up in the air.
