Top K-Drama Star Revealed To Have Helped A Young Child Recently
A heartwarming story about actor Ji Chang Wook has gone viral. On July 22, 2025, a touching anecdote about Ji Chang Wook began spreading across X (formerly Twitter).
The story originated from a mother of a young child who posted the experience on her personal social media account.

“At this point, he should be crowned king of escalator tantrums. He threw a fit again about not wanting to ride, and I was sweating bullets trying to calm him down—when suddenly, a man appeared at the perfect moment, took my son’s hand, and helped him down. Turns out, it was ‘Wookie’ oppa. He literally saved me.”
Another netizen later reshared the post and added their own eyewitness account:
“Since the story’s out now… After the judging session, I was about to go down the escalator when a baby started crying in front of us. I tried to comfort the baby first, but then oppa (Ji Chang Wook) saw the situation and said, ‘Let’s go, it’s not scary, it’s okay,’ and held the child’s hand while guiding him down. He was such a mature and caring man.”
Fans believe the incident took place at an airport escalator. Ji Chang Wook had just returned to Korea via Incheon International Airport on 21 July after holding a fan meeting in Taipei the day before.
Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook is currently filming Netflix’s new original series Scandal (working title), a remake of the 2003 film Untold Scandal. He plays the role of Jo Won, a man who doesn’t believe in love and only enjoys romantic affairs. He stars alongside Son Ye Jin and Nana, formerly of After School.
