The incident happened during IVE’s live performance at Lollapalooza in Paris a week ago. They kicked off the set with “Rebel Heart” and followed it up with “I AM.” However, the sound system malfunctioned at that moment, cutting off the IVE members’ mics and the instrumental track completely.

Despite the awkward situation, the members kept performing, and the crowd sang along so loudly that the performance still looked good.

Despite the crisis being averted for the most part, Yujin, as the leader of the group, took it upon herself to apologize to the audience right after the performance. She tactfully handled the situation, interacting with the crowd and ensuring that this hiccup didn’t get in the way of the overall audience experience.

However, in a recent post, a netizen drew attention to an incredible detail in the clip of Yujin apologizing. The mic in her hand was seen trembling, implying that the situation was clearly unnerving for her. Despite it all, she handled the situation calmly, restarting their performance with the sound system restored.

The fact that Yujin was able to put on a brave face and not only save her group from an awkward moment at such a major festival, but also show respect for the audience members’ experience, has earned her high praise from the internet.
