According to Renjun, he had been searching for a new friend amongst celebrities, and thought that he would want to be friends with someone kind. Knowing about HueningKai’s famed kind personality, he got introduced to him through a friend. Their first meeting took place at a Starbucks, arranged like a casual introduction. Although he found Huening Kai to be shy at first, they quickly warmed up to each other.
How I came to know Huening Kai — honestly, aside from my Chinese friends, I don’t have celebrity friends. So when looking for friends, my first condition is that they have to be nice. HueningKai seemed so kind. He gave off a slightly Jisung-like vibe. So, I got introduced through a friend, and we decided to meet at Starbucks and chat, kind of like a blind date. So, yeah, wew talked, and I thought it was nice, but HueningKai was so introverted that it felt a little awkward. Then, right there, a fan recognized us, and the way they looked at us was so surprised, like, ‘Why do you two know each other?’ So we went for a walk along the Han River and even hung out at his dorm.
