ENHYPEN’s Controversial “Ugly” Merch Sparks Explosive Reactions
ENHYPEN‘s latest merch release is disappointing fans on numerous levels.

After fans waited extensively for a release of merch plushies, HYBE announced the release of EN-O’CLOCK official merch. However, the design has left netizens extremely underwhelmed.

Each member has their own snack keychain in the form of a pouch with the phrase “From [member name]” written on the back.

The designs immediately gained attention online for being “lazy.”

Fans took to social media to share their disbelief for items they felt are generic and thoughtless.
Ha… Belift Lab’s taste level is so bad, even if they gave it to me for free, I’d still think twice about taking it.

F***, seriously, don’t lie. Even elementary school kids these days wouldn’t use something like this.

Netizens found the merch to be “ugly,” looking more like a common keychain from Daiso or even a dog toy.
- “Wow… I’ve never seen anything like this before. Is it really just bad taste, or are they trying to start some kind of power struggle on purpose?”
- “Not even kidding, it looks like one of my dog’s toys, and that’s supposed to be idol merch?”
- “HYBE’s other idols have so many cute character designs. Why not take some notes from them, lol.”
- “I wouldn’t buy it even if it were 500 won.”
- “That lightstick is shocking.”
- “Oh no…”
- “It’s literally a dog squeaky toy…”
- “Are they trying to pick a fight or something?”
- “It’s so damn ugly…”

Additionally, the high price point is proving to be problematic. The keychains are currently priced at 32,000 KRW ($23 USD).

Meanwhile, groups like TXT and LE SSERAFIM have their keychain plushies priced at 22,000 KRW ($15 USD) with much more complex designs and custom characters representing each member.

Netizens were appalled at the expensive price for such a disappointing item.
- “It’s crazy expensive.”
- “They should just take a zero off the price.”
- “Wow, seriously… who puts out something like that as an official idol doll?”
- “If it were 2,000 won at Daiso, it would at least be cute, but the price starts with a 3, not even a 1 or 2, lol.”
- “Well… I guess we just don’t buy it…”
- “Other labels and even ILLIT released normal ones, so why only ENHYPEN?”
