Son talked about her experience of working with the veteran director Park Chan Wook and senior co-star Lee Byung Hun, stating that she felt like a rookie again on set. She then recalled an anecdote about her dance scenes, revealing that she practiced dancing for nearly three months to prepare herself.

However, the scenes were ultimately edited out of the movie after director Park bluntly told her that her skills were not up to the mark.

The director told me, ‘I thought you’d be better since you said you practiced so much.’ Inside, I was like, ‘How could he say that to my face?!’ I had practiced for nearly three months.

She continued, revealing, “He bluntly said, ‘You said you practiced a lot, but it doesn’t really show,’ and it was honestly shocking. So in the end, all the dance scenes got cut.” The actress made the revelation in a jesting mood, drawing laughter from the room.

Though the atmosphere at the production briefing was lighthearted and showcased the chemistry between the actors and the director, the actual story of No Other Choice deals with some heavy topics. The movie is a dark comedy where the protagonist, named Mansu, suddenly loses his job and prepares for a fight to protect his family and rebuild his life. It is slated to be released in September.
