“The Glory” Fame Hot Ahjussi Jung Sung Il Reveals Financial Struggles Even After The K-Drama’s Success
Actor Jung Sung Il, who received global recognition with his role in the Netflix hit The Glory, recently made a surprising revelation about his financial struggles.

Jung Sung Il is set to appear on MBN and Channel S‘s variety show, Jeon Hyun Moo Plan 2, in its upcoming episode. A preview clip from the show was released recently, where he was seen talking candidly about his journey as an actor.

Jung mentioned that he always had a passion for acting, and he spent about five years doing theater in Daehak-ro. After dropping out of university at 21, he moved to Seoul to start acting in plays.
The actor admitted that the long period of obscurity was hard to endure. He recalled doing “almost every part-time job” to make ends meet. Notably, most of these jobs were related to driving, such as designated driving and valet parking. At one point, he was parking cars for a cafe during the day and working at a wine bar in the evening.

This shocking yet honest confession has highlighted the harsh financial realities of an actor’s life, even when they are at the center of fame and accolades.
Meanwhile, Jung Sung Il’s episode on Jeon Jyun Moo Plan 2 will air on August 22, at 9:10 pm KST.
