X JAPAN’s Yoshiki

Yoshiki is a popular Japanese musician and leader of X JAPAN, a visual kei rock group that was formed 43 years ago, in 1982. Billboard named Yoshiki “one of the most influential composers in Japanese history,” while TIME acknowledged his contributions to music by dubbing him “one of Japan’s most celebrated musicians” of all time. He is currently on a solo tour, performing Evening/Breakfast With Yoshiki 2025 In Tokyo Kurenai shows from August 22–24 and August 29–31.

On August 23, Yoshiki’s staff issued a statement on social media, revealing that Yoshiki had required medical treatment after an audience member injured him during one of these shows. The fan had latched onto Yoshiki’s right hand, “grabbing or pulling” it.

The news has upset and angered fans, who are asking concertgoers to refrain from such behavior. Evening/Breakfast With Yoshiki 2025 In Tokyo Kurenai is Yoshiki’s highly anticipated comeback tour, his return to the stage after undergoing major neck surgery for the third time.
