“Suzy Getting Married?” Unexpected Rumor Sets Off Agency CEO
On August 28, Kim Jang Kyun, the CEO of Management SOOP (also known as SOOP Entertainment), took to his Instagram and left a short but stern warning of legal action against those spreading false rumors.

You’re going to be in so much trouble… if you get caught spreading false rumors…
— Kim Jang Kyun
His anger was said to be directed at a jjirashi—a privately circulated “tip sheet” that contains unconfirmed information, including rumors and speculation—claiming that idol-turned-actress Suzy is set to marry Kim Byung Hoon, the CEO of APR (the company behind popular K-beauty brands like APRILSKIN and medicube).

In fact, Suzy’s jjirashi circulated quickly via online communities, like theqoo, where posts about her “marrying rich” began popping up.

Post body: The articles are going to come soon, LOL.
The rumor was soon debunked, with an update to the jjirashi noting that “both Suzy’s agency and APR denied the claims as groundless.” Still, as rumors do, it continued circulating. Eventually, Suzy’s agency CEO stepped in to contain the situation.

Now that the fire has been put out, some are speculating that the jjirashi might have been strategically spread by APR itself, as articles highlighting his recent achievement were seemingly published shortly before the wedding rumors began circulating.
