3rd Generation Idol Spills Secret to 12kg Weight Loss
WJSN member Dayoung revealed her recent weight loss of 12kg. She appeared on the YouTube channel Moonbyulida with MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul. As soon as she saw Dayoung preparing for her new song promotions, Moonbyul asked about her weight. Dayoung revealed that she dropped 12kg.
“I think I lost about 12kg. First I dropped some weight overall, then I toned up the remaining areas. I did the trio of exercise, diet, and body care.”
Dayoung also introduced the foods she’s currently into. “I eat yogurt every day,” she shared, recommending a Greek yogurt store to Moonbyul. Previously, she had revealed on her personal YouTube channel that she eats oatmeal for breakfast. On Instagram, she has also consistently posted her Pilates sessions.
Greek yogurt, which Dayoung eats daily, is a diet-friendly food. Per 100g, it contains about 11g of protein. With more protein than carb-heavy foods, it digests more slowly, helping sustain fullness and reducing meal portions. Dayoung eats oatmeal for breakfast, packed with protein, essential amino acids, and micronutrients like calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus. Its high fiber content prolongs satiety. About 4–5% of its fiber is beta-glucan, which helps relieve constipation and expel waste from the intestines, making it effective for dieting. Last but no least, pilates, which Dayoung regularly practices, is effective for sculpting a toned body.
