A spine-chilling rumor has rocked Chinese entertainment circles. According to Chinese media outlet News.Az, 36-year-old actor and singer Yu Menglong (Alan Yu) allegedly passed away after falling from a building in Beijing.
The claim first surfaced on Weibo, where popular entertainment blogger Detective Xiaoyan alleged that Yu had been spending time with friends on the evening of September 10. At around 2 a.m., Yu reportedly went into his bedroom and locked the door.
According to the blogger, when Yu’s friends left several hours later, he was nowhere to be found. His body was allegedly discovered downstairs around 6 a.m. by a passerby walking their dog, who then alerted police. After news of Yu’s death surfaced, Red Star News reported that one of his close friends was caught off guard by the online rumors.
“I called him, but his phone was turned off. I sent him a WeChat message, but he didn’t reply. He hasn’t updated his Moments in the past few days.”
Yu Menglong was born on June 15, 1988, in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China. According to IMDb, he was known for his roles in Xin Bai Niang Zi Chuan Qi (2019), Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (2024), and Liang Sheng, Wo Men Ke Bu Ke Yi Bu You Shang (2018).
