Actress Go Hyun Jung (also known as Ko Hyun Jung) was spotted showing support for Annie, leaving behind a “Like.” This, of course, surprised the fandoms of both the idol and the actress—highlighting their past family ties as aunt and niece.
Born in 2002, Annie is a third-generation heiress of the Shinsegae Group. Shinsegae Group chairwoman Lee Myung Hee is her grandmother, and Shinsegae president Jung Yoo Kyung is her mother. This makes Shinsegae chairman Jung Yong Jin (or Chung Yong Jin)—better known to Korean entertainment fans as Go Hyun Jung’s ex-husband—her uncle.
Go Hyun Jung married Jung Yong Jin in 1995 and divorced in 2003. Go Hyun Jung was Annie’s aunt until Annie was at least the age of two.
This bit of “history” behind the interaction has since sparked some heated reactions. At first, some netizens speculated that the “Like” must have a hidden meaning—as if the actress was taking a jab at the Shinsegae Group (which was once rumored to have been adamantly against a “celebrity” marrying into the family).

Soon, though, other netizens came to defend both Go Hyun Jung and Annie, praising the interaction as a sign of “no hard feelings” now that a lot of time has passed since the divorce.
