G-Dragon Faces Backlash Over Alleged Show Of Support For Donald Trump
G-Dragon‘s recent social media activity has sparked criticism.
On September 26, a post claiming that G-Dragon had liked multiple Instagram Reels featuring Donald Trump was shared on X. The post included three screenshots of Reels of Trump, each showing that G-Dragon had liked them on his personal Instagram account.

The reels, two of which G-Dragon’s likes can be seen as of writing, focus on Trump outside politics, including one before his time as a politician, and another where his son, Baron Trump, is being praised for his upbringing.

Due to his policies, which are often found to be inaccurate, racist or biased based of scientific fact, and his alleged involvement in numerous sexual misconduct cases, Donald Trump is viewed negatively by many around the world.
As a result, any sort of praise of his actions is viewed as implicit support by those against him which has led to the backlash G-Dragon is facing.

On the other hand, some have pointed out that the post were not necessarily about politics, and should not be treated as such.
