“Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” Actor Has The Funniest Reaction To Getting Shibal Saekkiya-ed
If there’s one Korean word that The Glory and Squid Game have forever etched into people’s memories, it’s the 500 variations of shibal-saekkiya, probably. And K-Drama fans from around the world who have mastered the use of this multi-functional vocab are now flooding a certain Bon Appétit, Your Majesty actor’s Threads comments section.

Actor Choi Gwi Hwa (also known as Choi Guy Hwa), who played Prince Je San in the hit tvn weekend K-Drama, really turned things up a notch in the final two episodes of the series as the villain.

After the episodes aired, the actor’s Threads posts saw a spike in comments from flabbergasted viewers. Most of them were, as expected, straightforward and to the point:

Choi Gwi Hwa then took to Instagram, sharing a video he created with a screenshot of the furious comments. Playfully, he wrote, “Even foreigners are shibal-ing me,” and even noted that he is now going to live a long life, referring to an old Korean proverb that says “bad weeds live long.”

To his hilarious reaction, Korean K-Drama fans are letting him know the rage isn’t personal.

- “I was honestly blown away by Prince Je San’s acting in the later episodes. I was cursing at him while watching LOL.”
- “His villain acting exploded.”
- “Honestly, the last two episodes were all about Prince Je San LOL.”
- “LOL.”
- “You just made all of us curse out loud, that’s all. LOL.”
- “Should’ve held back on the acting a little!! It was insane.”
- “LOLLLLL this is so cute.”
- “For me, when I think of Choi Gwi Hwa, I still picture that scene in Misaeng where he takes off his shirt and sprouts wings… But now? Sir, you’re forever a villain in my mind…”
When he’s not wreaking havoc as a tyrant prince, though, Choi Guy Hwa is actually quite a sweet man. Read more about his act of kindness toward a staff member:
