Late Barbie Hsu’s Husband, DJ Koo, Makes Rare Public Comment On His Loss
On a rare occasion, DJ Koo—also known as CLON‘s Koo Jun Yeop—reportedly made a comment about his late wife, Barbie Hsu, to the press.

According to Sports Seoul, a local media outlet reported on September 30, 2025 (KST) that DJ Koo was spotted at the Jinbaoshan Cemetery (Chin Pao San) in New Taipei City, Taiwan, accompanied by his close Korean friends.
It was on that day that DJ Koo interacted with the outlet reporter who asked him if he often dreams of Barbie Hsu. The grieving star is said to have responded with a short but firm, “Of course.” This was the first time he had directly spoken to the press since Barbie Hsu’s passing.

Local media also reported that DJ Koo has been setting up a small chair at the gravesite and working on sketches to serve as drafts for a statue that will be erected next year to mark the first anniversary of her passing. Barbie Hsu’s mother also told local press, “The statue will be created based on the drawings my son-in-law has made himself, and it will be truly beautiful.”
The late Barbie Hsu, best known for her leading role in the Taiwanese adaptation of Meteor Garden, began dating DJ Koo in 1998. The two broke up, only to reunite over two decades later in 2022 and get married. In a tragic twist of fate, DJ Koo lost Barbie Hsu in February 2025 due to complications from pneumonia.

Since then, DJ Koo has suspended all his activities and devoted himself to staying by her resting place. Read more:
