A viral post on Pann, which has surpassed 100,000 views shared Ian’s signature shimmy dance move — where the young idol shakes her shoulders when dancing. Due to the movement, some netizens condemend her and claimed the dance move was too “suggestive.”

What’s up with Hearts2Hearts’ Ian lately?

I really don’t get what she’s trying to do… it feels kind of suggestive, and seeing her act like that even on a public broadcast show is honestly a bit uncomfortable.

While some netizens agreed, others called out the criticism as unfair and overly harsh toward such a young idol. Ian, born in 2009, just turned 16 years old a few days ago, on October 9.

Many netizens defended the Hearts2Hearts center from the “absurd” accusations and said that others were overanalyzing a simple dance move and she most likely did not have any inappropriate intent. Others, however, argued that the entertainment company should be more mindful of how their younger idols are presented on TV.

  • “Wow, so now women-hating fangirls are even doing it to someone born in 2009, huh? You’re seriously legendary. I guess if a girl’s pretty, she automatically becomes a target for jealousy. Unreal, honestly. ”
  • “She totally looks like some BJ (streamer) doing reaction videos…”
  • “Congrats, you’ve been chosen as the woman-hating post of the day! Also, congrats on being the top 5th-gen pick! 😂”
  • “Grown women calling a 2009-liner a BJ and bashing her like that… don’t ever say women-hating fangirls don’t exist again. Pann witches going after every pretty 5th-gen idol with all their might… seriously disgusting.”
  • “You old ladies full of spite… how can you even feel jealous toward a girl that young? Have you no shame? Is jealousy such a natural instinct that you just can’t help it? ”
  • “No, but honestly, even if I try not to see it that way, her movements are kind of embarrassing. Isn’t SM supposed to manage stuff like that?”

Keeping in mind that Ian is very young and still a minor, it’s natural that netizens will frown upon those who sexualize and overanalyze her behavior.
