Popular Group’s Comeback Tainted By Plagiarism Accusation From Another Artist

Do you see the resemblance?

On October 24, 2025 (KST), K-Pop band FTISLAND revealed the title of their upcoming 4th digital single, alongside an album cover art featuring a small, sparkling pond surrounded by lush green grass and colorful wildflowers.

While the news excited FTISLAND’s fans, another artist and their fans are now expressing frustration with the band and FNC Entertainment.

OoOo noted that the two album cover arts “bear a striking resemblance” and hence problematic, but that they didn’t know how to deal with the situation at hand.

“Hello, this is singer-songwriter OoOo.

Today, on October 31, FNC Entertainment’s FT Island released an album cover that bears a striking resemblance to the cover of my album, Beautiful.

I understand that some might dismiss it as a common design. But among the countless 3D artworks and designs out there, it’s extremely rare to find one featuring a pond at the center surrounded by grass.

Even the images on Pinterest were either edited from or created based on my original work.

The similar distribution of flowers, the composition of grass leading into a pond reflecting the sky, and the overall layout centered around the pond all suggest that my image was clearly seen or used as a reference.

I honestly don’t know how to respond or what to do about this situation.”

The singer songwriter even reached out to designer Nam Seung Hyun (@nsh.jpg) on Instagram, the designer who worked on the album cover for FTISLAND.
