Legendary “OG Visual” K-Pop Idol Shares Her Secrets For A Snatched Jaw
S.E.S‘ Eugene is known for her visuals. She’s often dubbed the original visual and fairy of K-Pop, for she dominated the 1st generation of idols back in the day!
Her and her husband, actor Ki Tae Young shared a real, unfiltered review of their recent dermatology treatments through a YouTube video on November 19, 2025. Thanks to their youthful looks, fans are always wondering how they stay so young. Eugene admitted that maintenance is a necessity as it is directly related to their jobs. However, they mostly only do basic skincare regularly.
“Since our job requires us to constantly show our faces, we do maintain our skin — but it’s not like we do anything special. Honestly, I think we do less than regular people. These days, when I look at my friends and younger acquaintances, they go to dermatology clinics a lot and get tons of procedures done. Compared to that, we barely do anything. And I really do think the ‘camera massage effect’ makes a difference.”
“Camera massage” is a term Koreans use to describe how celebrities glow up after their debut. This is mostly as they are able to monitor their faces 24/7, allowing them to get rid of bad habits and only present their best sides. Things that can be fixed through this include weird or gummy smiles, bad posture, bad angles, and more. One also can get procedures based on how they look through the lens. It is also focused on styling that shows up specifically better on camera compared to real life!
Ki Tae Young credits a good diet and consistent exercise. The couple also revealed they recently received professional treatments as well. Eugene used a laser that helps tighten and lift the skin.
“We tried a popular new device recently. It does tightening and lifting at the same time. It definitely hurt less than other treatments. Right after the procedure, the tightening effect kicked in immediately. We walked out, and Eugene’s face was completely lifted — it was amazing.”
It’s hard to believe Eugene is 44 years old, with two children!
