On November 26, KST, Choi took to Instagram to share the court ruling. In the caption, he wrote, “After a lengthy review, the court did not accept the adultery allegations raised against me, and the ruling confirmed that I was not an adulterous partner.” He also added that the ruling found the plaintiff, Mr. A, guilty of instructing his wife to spread the false information about Choi demanding money from him and requesting a meeting.

The actor released a short audio transcript, explaining that it contained a part of the conversation between Mr. A and his wife from 2022, before the lawsuit was filed, in which he instructed his wife to “defame” Choi. In the recording, Mr. A can be heard saying, “When a lawyer files a lawsuit, it usually costs around 30–40 million won, but since that XX (Choi Jung Won) is a washed-up celebrity, they say we can squeeze up to 100 million won out of him.

Choi stated that the court sentenced Mr. A to a ₩3.00 million KRW (about $2,050 USD) fine for defamation, defamation by instigation, and intimidation.

Earlier in January 2023, Mr. A filed a ₩100 million KRW (about $68,200 USD) damages lawsuit against Choi, claiming that the actor had committed adultery with his wife, “B.” At that time, Choi refuted the allegations, stating that he had no romantic relationship with “B” and that she was just a family friend he had known since childhood. Later, in September, during the couple’s divorce appeal, the Seoul High Court ruled that the relationship between Choi and “B” did not constitute misconduct.

Meanwhile, Choi is currently embroiled in yet another case over allegations of stalking. Read more about it here:
