Soyeon Sparks Rumors Of Discord With Members With Her Recent Actions

Soyeon, a former member of the iconic girl group T-ARA, has become the target of public scrutiny for missing the weddings of multiple groupmates.

On November 30, T-ARA member Eunjung tied the knot with film director Kim Byung Woo in a private wedding in Seoul. The ceremony was attended by many of her groupmates, including Qri, Jiyeon, and even former member Hwayoung. However, Soyeon was a no-show, raising eyebrows.

This marked the second groupmate’s wedding she had missed this year, the first being Hyomin’s in April.

Although Soyeon lives abroad, according to media outlets and her own social media posts, she was in Seoul on November 18 to watch her husband, Cho Yu Min, play for the South Korean soccer team against Ghana. The fact that she was in town just a few days before Eujung’s wedding has fueled the criticism against her. In addition, fans also noted that Soyeon didn’t post anything related to the wedding on social media.

Given that T-ARA’s members are known to have a close friendship outside of their professional dynamic, Soyeon’s continuous absence from her groupmates’ private celebrations has raised questions about a possible discord within the group. However, many fans have also pointed out that given Soyeon’s travel schedule, her absence was inevitable.

Soyeon has been residing in Dubai since 2022, following her husband’s transfer to the UAE Sharjah FC. A day before Eunjung’s wedding, she updated her social media, writing that she was leaving Dubai again. On the day of her wedding, she had already departed from Dubai for a Christmas trip to Europe, which appears to be a private schedule planned much in advance.
