Former 4th Gen Idol Signs Exclusive Contract, To Pursue Acting Career
A 4th generation idol who left her group in 2022 has signed a new exclusive contract with an agency in pursue of an acting career.
Park Ji Eun debuted in 2020 as the main vocalist of Purple Kiss, winning fans’ love with her uniquely stable low tones, clear high notes, and delicate emotional expression on stage.
However, after leaving the group in 2022 due to health reasons, she dedicated herself to studying acting at Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts’ Department of Acting. She said, “I have as much passion for acting as I do for singing and dancing,” and has been preparing to transition into acting by leveraging her major.
Notably, she played the role of Young Soo Hyun in the 9th Mystery Thriller Festival play Pufferfish in 2025, delivering delicate emotional acting. She also made an impression as Eun Joo, Lee Chae Yeon’s stylist, in the OTT drama Fresh Romance on TVING, accelerating her full-fledged career as an actress.
Now, she has signed an exclusive contract with Dabu E&M. A representative from the agency said, “Park Ji Eun is an artist who has gained diverse stage experience and public recognition since her idol days. We highly appreciate her potential and sincerity as an actress, which led us to sign her exclusively. We will fully support her to showcase her talents across various genres.”
Park Ji Eun herself expressed, “I want to show growth as an actress under my new agency. I will bring the emotions and experiences I felt on stage into my acting and become a sincere actress. Please look forward to and support my future activities.”
Additionally, Park Ji Eun has been cast as Ji Eun in the OTT drama Today’s Weather is Sexy, set to be released in the first half of 2026, and is currently preparing for filming.
