Male Singer Whose Career Got Derailed Over Sexual Harassment Allegations Gets Cleared Of All Charges
Na Sanghyun, the 30-year-old vocalist of the popular indie group Mr. Nah Band, was reportedly confirmed to have been falsely accused of sexual harassment.

The controversy started with an online post that alleged Na had sexually harassed a woman during a private drinking gathering. Shortly after, Na released a statement on social media on May 23, seemingly acknowledging the accusations. The aftermath consisted of him stepping down from a show and sitting out multiple significant performances.

However, on June 2, his agency, January Music, released a new statement announcing a lawsuit retracting the previous admission, claiming the situation had been misunderstood. They proceeded to file a lawsuit against the person who uploaded the post. During the legal process, Na’s agency was able to track down the original poster and confirmed that they were a minor.
In a newly released statement, January Music has confirmed that they got in touch with the accused’s parents and legal representatives, received a sincerely written apology, and a settlement agreement. As a result, they have withdrawn the lawsuit against the accused.

This incident has sparked a huge uproar on Korean community sites, with netizens sympathizing with Na Sanghyun and calling out the false accuser for their reckless action.

- “False accusations shouldn’t be excused. Only then will false-accusation crimes decrease and the voices of real victims be heard more clearly…”
- “Whoa…”
- “Oh wow. I didn’t listen to his music after the incident. I need to start again.”
- “Well, he acted according to his beliefs. Even if there are negative side effects from false accusations, it seems his conviction is that a victim’s voice should count as evidence.”
- “Still, I’m glad the truth came out before the year ended. I hope he receives even more love going forward.”
- “Should’ve just kept on suing, tsk.”
