Ju Haknyeon Personally Speaks Out About Prostitution Scandal
Recently, former THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon was interviewed by Billboard and opened up for the first time about the events that led to his dismissal from the group.
He claimed that the incident from May 29 at the Asia Star Entertainer Awards in Japan was what led to his leave from the group.
We were hanging out with many people, and as it got later while we were drinking, there was one person [there] who used to be an AV [adult video] actress. Her name is Asuka Kirara. I met her there for the first time and, as far as I knew, she had been retired for about five to seven years.

He revealed that they talked about her career transition into the beauty industry, so they naturally discussed business.
As adults, it’s normal to drink and get drunk, right? I’m turning 27 years old.
— Ju Haknyeon
He revealed that it was probably another guest at the event who took photos without his permission and sold them to the tabloids.
However, after the label terminated his contract and filed a claim for damages, Ju Haknyeon refused to sign the agreement.
I said I wouldn’t sign it, that I couldn’t agree to this amount. Realistically, if I paid this, it would be the end of my life. I would go bankrupt.
— Ju Haknyeon
With this, he believes that the Korean media that followed the case was actually coordinated by ONE HUNDRED.
I want people to know that the company doesn’t protect their artists and isn’t acting like a proper company. If I lose this case over something I didn’t do, the companies will likely abuse this kind of situation again.
