THE BOYZ’s New Swept Up In Speculations Following Contract Termination Controversy

The tweets, which spread rapidly on theqoo, center on footage from the concert showing member New getting on and off the stage mid-performance to take on his parts—an occurrence many fans claim is highly unusual in K-Pop.

New skipped the stages with difficult choreography this concert, like ‘You and I’ and ‘Shake You Down,’ and for ‘Checkmate’ he just sang his part and dipped… F*cking no effort at all.

Even during the ‘Talk’ performance, he’s sneakily hiding behind the set, then comes out just to sing his part and leaves LOL… he didn’t even join the final ending either.

Especially given the fact that New is the only THE BOYZ member who opted out of filing for contract termination with ONE HUNDRED, his behavior is simply fueling speculations and negative reactions across online communities.

  • “Whatever issues they have among themselves, this kind of behavior is basically ignoring the fans who came to see them… seriously so half-hearted.”
  • “There are cases where performances are adjusted like that because of injuries, but usually if someone’s injured they limp off slowly or move carefully… it’s so bizarre seeing him just walk off like that perfectly fine.”
