Following Dispatch‘s bombshell exclusive about actor Jo Jin Woong (Cho Jin Woong)’s alleged criminal past, K-Drama fans are now heartbroken over what might happen to the second season of Signal (also known as The Second Signal), easily recognized as one of the most anticipated sequels in K-Drama history.
10 Years Of Waiting Paid Off — K-Drama’s Most Anticipated Sequel Even Had Idols Begging For A Return
On December 5, 2025 (KST), Dispatch revealed that Jo Jin Woong has been using his father’s name as his stage name because his real name, Jo Won Joon, is associated with crimes like aggravated robbery and sexual assault.

While the actor’s agency, SARAM Entertainment, is “looking into the allegations,” Korean netizens are convinced that the scandal surrounding Jo Jin Woong, the male lead, is too significant to be overlooked—meaning the future of Signal is now looking more uncertain than ever.
