5th-Gen Idol Confesses He Couldn’t Afford Tickets To “Asia Artist Awards”
The K-Pop industry has borne witness to many rags-to-riches stories, with idols working hard to make their wildest dreams into reality. Such is the case for a newly debuted male idol, who revealed how he experienced his major full-circle moment during a recent award show.
The idol in question, JL from AHOF, shared the story in an exclusive interview with Star News.

Talking about his pre-debut days, JL recalled that two years ago, he wanted to attend the Asia Artist Awards as an audience member since it was taking place in his home country, the Philippines. He recalled being excited to go with his friends and watch his favorite artists perform.
However, they didn’t have enough money to afford the tickets. “So we could only cheer from outside the venue,” JL recounted. Fast forward two years, and JL got to attend the same award show as a member of AHOF. Though the group won the Best New Artist award, for JL, the highlight seems to be getting to fulfill his long-held dream.
This time, after our debut, I got to attend ‘AAA’ and actually meet the sunbaenims from Stray Kids in person, which made me so happy.
