SHINee’s Key Skips Variety Show Shoot, Fans Scoff At His “Excuse”

SHINee member Key was reportedly absent from a filming schedule, further fueling the ongoing backlash against him.

On December 12, KST, the cast members of tvN’s Amazing Saturday reportedly completed a shoot for the first time since Park Na Rae suspended her broadcasting activities and stepped down from the show. However, Key was unable to participate in the recording. It was stated that he had to sit out due to a schedule commitment.

According to the official statement, Key’s absence was pre-coordinated with the production team because the shooting date coincided with his prescheduled overseas tour dates.

Aside from Key, the other existing cast members, Shin Dong Youp, Moon Se Yoon, Kim Dong Hyun, and P.O¸, reportedly attended the recording schedule. The filming consisted of two episodes, and the future broadcast schedule is to be announced later.

Despite the given reason for Key’s absence, netizens are skeptic that he skipped the filming to continue his silence regarding the questions being raised about his connection with Park Na Rae’s illegal medical practice controversy.
