Singer Accuses Media Outlet Of Publishing Fake Messages With Married Ex-Agency Chairperson
Singer MC Mong has addressed the allegations of having an extramarital affair with Cha Ga Won, the chairperson of his former agency, One Hundred.

On December 24, KST, the Korean media outlet, The Fact, made a series of KakaoTalk conversations between MC Mong and Cha, the married Chairperson, which hinted at an improper relationship between the two for years. The outlet also claimed that Cha had lent MC Mong ₩12.0 billion KRW (about $8.11 million USD) and had also given him expensive gifts routinely.

MC Mong: I’m so stressed that less than 2 percent of my sperm are alive.
Cha Ga Won: I can help you produce more sperm.
MC Mong: To get you pregnant, at least 30 percent of the sperm need to be alive, but mine are less than 2 percent.
MC Mong: Do you know what that’s called?
Cha Ga Won: No.
MC Mong: Azoospermia. Please stop writing crazy novel-level stories.
Do you know how long I’ve been under this stress?Cha Ga Won: Come with me. That’s why we couldn’t get pregnant even though we tried so hard.
Cha Ga Won: Let’s go to the hospital tomorrow. I’ve been getting ovulation injections for three months.

On the same day, MC Mong responded to the accusations through his social media. He threatened to sue The Fact, along with Cha’s relative, Cha Mo, who he claimed to have sent those KakaoTalk screenshots to. However, the singer clarified that those messages were fabricated intentionally.
MC Mong emphasized that he had no improper relationship with Cha, adding that he was already seeing someone steadily. Regarding his departure from One Hundred, he explained, “I left because I feared that a risky producer like me would harm One Hundred.”

One Hundred also corroborated MC Mong’s story, giving a detailed explanation of what had actually happened.
MC Mong was threatened by A (Cha Mo), a relative of Chairman Cha Ga Won, and the messages were fabricated and sent under duress…A was attempting to seize control of Big Planet Made, a label under One Hundred, and was threatening MC Mong to force him to sell his shares. During this process, MC Mong’s fabricated KakaoTalk messages were delivered. We suspect A provided these messages to the media outlet.
— One Hundred
The label mentioned that MC Mong had reached out to them after seeing the report and apologized to the company. Much like the singer himself, his former label, One Hundred, has also announced its intention to take stringent legal action against The Fact and Cha.
MC Mong and Cha Ga Won founded One Hundred through a joint investment in 2023. The company later expanded by absorbing music labels such as Big Planet Made Entertainment, Million Market, and INB100. MC Mong left the label in June this year, and the very next month, he announced his departure to abroad, stating severe depression and other health issues.
