I.O.I Confirmed To Reunite For Tenth Anniversary— Except One Member
I.O.I, the beloved Produce 101 girl group, is confirmed to be reuniting for their tenth debut anniversary. However, one out of the eleven members will reportedly have to sit out this grand reunion.
Recently, former I.O.I member Kim Sejeong talked about the group’s plans to prepare something special for fans on the occasion of their tenth anniversary. However, she mentioned that nothing had been confirmed yet.
However, when another former member, Yoo Yeonjung, was asked about the possibility of I.O.I’s future activities during her appearance on KBS Cool FM‘s Volume Up, she confirmed the reunion in 2026. She also mentioned that the group had already secured a venue for their performance and hinted at the concert being slated for Spring.
Yeonjung added, “Since it’s a monumental 10th anniversary, we’re preparing diligently. Please look forward to it,” teasing further anticipation among fans. However, their joy will probably remain incomplete as Kang Mina, the former I.O.I member-turned-actress, will have to sit out the reunion. She reportedly has overlapping schedules with an upcoming drama and its promotional period.
Meanwhile, I.O.I was created through the 2016 reality show Produce 101, and the group promoted as a whole for less than a year. However, their impact was explosive, leaving fans asking for more even after their official disbandment.
