Former Idol Blames His “Nugu” Status After Star Guest Gets Slammed And Apologizes For “Leaking” Wedding Video
On December 21, 2025 (KST), former MBLAQ member Mir got married. His star guests, including singer Kim Jang Hoon, attended in celebration, congratulating him on the new chapter of his life offstage.

But a little misunderstanding ended up leaving Kim Jang Hoon facing massive online backlash and even apologizing. At the wedding, Kim Jang Hoon posted a video of the new couple making their exit down the aisle. When the media began reporting on his social media post, some netizens were quick to criticize him for being “careless” for “leaking the footage,” claiming that the wedding was private.

…except Mir’s older sister, actress Go Eun Ah, stepped up to defend the star guest. Go Eun Ah is said to have called Kim Jang Hoon as soon as she saw the apology and demanded that he remove it.
In fact, in a new YouTube video, Go Eun Ah explained how the wedding was never intended to be “private.”

Mir is on his honeymoon trip right now, so he just found out about what happened. But I would like to make this crystal clear. Mir’s wedding was never private to begin with. We never once said that we’d like to keep it private. And I spoke to Mir about this, too. We were both like, ‘This kind of hurts our feelings,’ you know? Because no press showed up. How come none of the reporters came? I’m assuming they wanted to be considerate since Mir’s wife is a non-celebrity. But I mean, it has led to a lot of articles being written about Jang Hoon oppa.

When she connected to Mir over the phone, the former idol himself admitted that the wedding didn’t get a lot of attention because he is no longer “popular” and people weren’t interested in him getting married!
Mir: I’m flabbergasted. Like… My wedding didn’t get a lot of attention because I’m simply not popular enough and so the press didn’t show up. I mean, who said it was a private event?! I literally don’t understand what happened.
Go Eun Ah: Yeah, why is Jang Hoon oppa getting hate for us being nugus?
To the whole blunder, Kim Jang Hoon responded playfully:
I went on Naver and saw that Mir’s wedding was a trending search topic. So, I thought, ‘Well, in one way or another, I did him a favor.’ You know? I made sure people know that you got married!
