JTBC Show Unveils Female Singer’s Affair With Married Man, She Responds Through Social Media

A famous female soloist has sparked heated reactions online after addressing the scandalous allegations of having an affair with a married man.

The singer in question is Sookhaeng, a beloved trot singer in Korea.

Recently, Sookhaeng took to her social media account to post a handwritten note, apologizing for “causing concern” with a “recent personal matter.” The singer, who has been appearing on MBN’s King of Active Singers 3, also announced her mid-season exit from the show, stating that she didn’t want her controversy to negatively affect the show.

However, the singer took a cautious stance on the details of her alleged affair. She claimed that all the factual truths would be revealed through legal procedures in the future, adding that she was a victim of false claims being disseminated indiscriminately.

Sookhaeng’s controversy became public on December 29, KST, when a JTBC investigative program called Incident Commander aired an episode featuring a woman who claimed that a female trot singer had gotten involved in an extramarital affair with her husband after pretending to be a friend to her. The woman also claimed that her husband had left home in February and started living with the singer. She also directly showed CCTV footage of the two kissing in an elevator.

The woman also revealed that she had already filed a lawsuit over this extramarital affair, with legal notices being sent to both parties. Sookhaeng’s side reportedly appeared in tears, claiming that she was also a victim.
