Yoo Jae Suk Opens Up About Serious On-Set Accident That Sent Him To The Plastic Surgery Clinic
Comedian Yoo Jae Suk recently opened up about a scary on-set accident he got into while filming the popular variety show, Running Man.

He shared the story during his appearance on the DdeunDdeun YouTube channel for the web show, Pinggyego. On January 1, KST, the show released a new episode featuring actors Ahn Eun Jin, Lee Sang Yi, and Kim Sung Cheol as guests, and Yoo Jae Suk as the MC.
During their conversation, Lee Sang Yi recalled a serious incident from last year while he was filming a drama. He recalled collapsing on set and injuring his face, which ultimately required plastic surgery to be fixed. Hearing this, Yoo Jae Suk also opened up about a similar experience.
He revealed, “I also once fell while filming Running Man,” adding that it was a result of him getting overexcited and carried away. In the caption, the production team provided the context, stating that the accident took place during a game where Yoo Jae Suk started dancing enthusiastically to a BTS song, slipped, and fell from the game apparatus.

The comedian went on to explain the aftermath of the fall, recalling that his knee hit his glasses as he fell, and the frame ended up splitting open the skin above his eyebrows. The injury caused heavy bleeding immediately, landing him in a hospital ER. However, after being told that stitching the wound could leave a noticeable scar, Yoo returned to Seoul and went to a plastic surgery clinic to get it stitched instead.

Though Yoo Jae Suk shared the story in a light-hearted manner, it has given audiences a reality check about the various unknown hazards of an apparently glamorous job like his.
