Top K-Drama Actress Admits She Proposed To Her Husband First

Actress Nam Bo Ra recently got married to a non-celebrity. On an episode of Knowing Bros, she revealed a surprising detail about her husband.

She explained that her husband had been a lifelong single before meeting her. This led her to experience some frustrations.

“I didn’t even know. He started dating late. I first met my husband when I was 33, and at that age, you wouldn’t think someone is a lifelong single, right? But when we went on dates, he wouldn’t hold my hand. He clearly said he liked me and we were dating, but I kept thinking, ‘Why isn’t he holding my hand?’ So after one date, I asked him, ‘Why didn’t you hold my hand?’ and he said, ‘I’ve never held a woman’s hand before.’”

When the male hosts reacted by saying it sounded like a pickup line, Nam Bo Ra emphasized that it was real. She ended up having to take the lead on almost everything, even marriage itself!

“I taught him a lot. I’m usually the one who gets led, but trying to take the lead myself was really embarrassing. But if you want the relationship to progress, there’s no choice. I taught my husband a lot, raised him well, and upgraded him into an adult.”

She even revealed that she was the one who not only led the relationship but also proposed marriage first.

“I did it first. It felt like my husband wanted to talk about marriage but couldn’t bring it up, so on the way home I said, ‘Should we get married?’ My husband replied, ‘Bora, when are you free? Let’s do it whenever you’re free.’”

The couple have been married for 7 months now. She recently announced her pregnancy.
