The show has been on hiatus doe around five years.

In 2018, a new Thai television series about a girl traveling and exposing toxic behavior at high schools shot to extreme popularity, resulting in Netflix taking up the second season. Girl From Nowhere season two, which aired in 2021, only increased the show’s popularity on a more global scale.

Girl From Nowhere has remained a popular topic, although fans have been eagerly awaiting the next season with very few updates until recently. One of these updates was the surprising announcement that Kitty would not be returning to play Nanno, and the part would be recast.

The upcoming season, Girl From Nowhere: The Reset, features a Nanno without memory of the previous version and is technically a spin-off in a new universe. Thai actress “Becky” Rebecca Armstrong was announced as the new Nanno on January 14.

Becky began her acting career in 2021 in TharnType 2: 7 Years of Love but has since starred in several GL (girl love) drama series and other acting projects.

Aside from the physical differences, some expressed concern over Becky’s ability to take on the role based on her previous performances. Many simply cannot see the role performed by another actress and would prefer a third season, rather than a reboot.

On the other hand, many were excited for Becky’s interpretation of the role, asking that she be given a chance to show her skills.

Girl From Nowhere: The Reset airs on March 7, 2025. You can see Becky’s acting in a previous project’s trailer below.
