The incident happened during the singer’s show at Taipei Arena. While Rain was hyping up the crowd, urging them to sing and dance along, he noticed that one fan in the front row was simply filming him on her phone instead of joining the others.

The idol immediately pointed her out, asking why she wasn’t dancing. She replied by pointing toward her ears and saying something, but Rain was unable to understand her. He again asked her to sing along, and even did a countdown, but she didn’t quite follow him. Rain was then seen walking away, appearing somewhat frustrated.

A day after the concert, the fan then took to Threads and posted her explanation about the interaction, tagging Rain in her post. She revealed that she had a hearing impairment and couldn’t understand what he or the interpreter was saying at that moment. She also shared that she was unable to communicate using sign language and was worried that she might have come across as rude or disrespectful.

Fortunately, Rain saw the post and responded with a heartfelt apology. He wrote that he hadn’t realized she had a hearing problem, confessing that his behavior in that moment was not very considerate. The singer also took note that the day she posted her explanation was also her birthday, and wished her through his post, thanking her for attending the concert.

Rain also admitted that it was a learning moment for him, promising to be more attentive and considerate in his future concerts. While some netizens were skeptical of the singer’s apology, most of them praised his humility and his sensible handling of the situation.
