Actress Who Disappeared After Marrying A Top Actor Shows Her Face For The First Time In 9 Years
In the grand finale episode of tvN‘s I Am Boxer, actress Ye Jung Hwa made her first TV appearance in nine years to support her actor husband, Ma Dong Seok (also known as Don Lee).
The episode, which aired on January 23, 2026 (KST), featured the championship match between boxers Guk Seung Joon and Lee Chae Hyun. The match had a star-studded audience, including Wonder Girls‘ Yubin, Lee Joo Bin, Simon Dominic, and more.
In particular, much attention was drawn to Ye Jung Hwa, who had halted public activities since 2017 and appeared before the public for the first time in nine years.
At the event, Ma Dong Seok introduced his wife, saying, “She came to support her husband,” as Ye Jung Hwa got up and greeted the audience. She also showed affection toward her husband by flashing finger hearts, capturing the audience’s attention!
Ma Dong Seok, born in 1971, and Ye Jung Hwa, born in 1988, overcame their 17-year age gap and began publicly dating in 2016. At an awards ceremony in 2022, Ma Dong Seok referred to her as “the most supportive wife,” revealing that they had legally married in 2021 and received many congratulations. The couple later held a delayed wedding ceremony in May 2024.
