BLACKPINK’s Rosé To Perform At The Grammy Awards
Rosé of the group BLACKPINK will take the stage as a performer following her nomination at the Grammy Awards.
On the 29th (local time), the Recording Academy, which organizes the Grammy Awards, announced that Rosé will perform at the 68th Grammy Awards to be held on February 1 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA.
Rosé has been nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 68th Grammy Awards for “APT.”
This is the first time a K-pop song has been nominated in the General Field— the main categories including Song of the Year and Record of the Year— at the Grammys, which is the most prestigious award in the American popular music industry. It is also the first time a K-pop female artist has been nominated in these categories, raising expectations that Rosé might be the first to win.
In addition to Rosé, at this year’s ceremony, HYBE and Geffen Records‘ global girl group KATSEYE was nominated in two categories—Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance—and will perform a special stage alongside the eight nominees for Best New Artist.
Meanwhile, the 68th Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on Mnet at 9:55am on February 2 (Korean time).
