After the music video sparked debate for featuring female trainees as dance partners, the controversy intensified following the group’s recent performance on SBS Inkigayo.

During the broadcast, LNGSHOT performed “FaceTime” with the same choreography that had already divided fans online. According to multiple fan accounts from the recording, the moment the female trainees appeared on stage during the first take, negative reactions erupted from the audience.

The response was strong enough that production reportedly had to film another take of the stage.

Even during the second recording, the atmosphere remained tense. Fans described an awkward silence as the paired choreography played out, especially at the end, when the female trainees joined the final stage formation.

The group’s leader, Ryul, tried to ease the tension by telling the fans that he loves them, but many in the crowd called him a liar to his face.

As the accounts spread across social media, international fans reacted sharply, criticizing what they viewed as excessive possessiveness and parasocial behavior from a portion of the Korean and Chinese fanbase.

Many defended LNGSHOT, pointing out that dancing with female performers is standard in the industry and arguing that the group should not be punished for performing choreography approved by their company.
